Enablers within a culture can impact the implementation of evidence into a quality improvement project or EBP. For a QI to become successful the culture of acceptance is impactful and should be first and foremost supported by a senior leadership team. Setting the tone of attitude and beliefs in advancing practice needs to be done within everything occurring at an organization, beginning with leaders. Supporting leaders in hiring and instilling accountability in practice will continue the establishment of a supportive culture. Mentors and mentorships are crucial to longevity of EBP/QI as they mentor others on the team, lead journal clubs, and embrace projects to be implemented and tested. Stakeholders within the facility are a critical component to ensure all are involved in the initiative. Consultants and stakeholders inside and outside the organization are helpful for feedback, support and empowerment (White et al., 2024b). For the project at BSW Centennial, key enablers would be the multidisciplinary WPV committee, senior leadership, providers, consultants from products purchased, staff within departments, facility workers, community partners, and public safety.
